I was sitting chatting with a girlfriend the other day about work and how things are going for me! I’m having such an awesome time, that it was really a great conversation!

What I found interesting, though, was one particular questions she asked, which was “Now that you”re doing what you”re doing, do you look at people and think to yourself “they shouldn’t be wearing that” or “urgh! I wouldn”t wear that”?”

I found this curious, because this particular lady has been aware of a kind of transformation that has happened with me since I embarked on this amazing journey. One of the big, transformational things that have happened with me, is that I”ve become less judgemental of myself, which has in turn meant that I”m less judgemental of others.

I have learned that just because it’s not something that I like, or something that I would wear, it doesn”t mean that they don”t love the way that they feel when they”re wearing what they”re wearing. They may be wearing something that I would categorise as “unique” or “edgey”, but they may think that it”s “classic” and “soft”. I have learned that everyone”s definitions of what they perceive to be ”perfect” is different to everyone else’s.

So, what this has meant for me, is that I don’t judge. I don’t go strolling down the street inspecting what people are wearing and passing my judgement as to whether it’s stylish or not. It’s none of my business. If someone asks for my help, I am more than happy to offer my help…but in a way that is specific to them. I don’t take women shopping and dress them in things that is my style. I dress them in pieces that has them feeling amazing and looking amazing!

The moral of this story, is that if you can be less judgemental of yourself…if you can become more accepting of yourself, your body, your shape….this funny thing happens….you end becoming less judgemental of others. Be kind to yourself. Be gentle to yourself. Take the time to feel joy!!
