‘As some of you may or may not know, I broke my wrist a couple of weeks ago! It was done during a freak snowboarding accident where I tipped over backwards, facing the sky, head pointing down the mountain and feet towards the top!! Ok! Perhaps ”freak snowboarding accident” was pushing the envelope a bit!! hehe!

To top it off, we were only into the third day when it happened and I missed out the remaining 4 days!! BLAST!! 🙁 It could”ve been worse, I know! Regardless, it was a major disappointment.

What happened after this though really suprised me. We have 3 children all of whom were sick while we were away, my husband had the man-flu and I started coming down with a cold as well! Mum and Dad came with us – and yep! You guessed it! They ended up quite sick, too. We were a sad and sorry lot to say the least by the time we got home on the Saturday night!

So, by the time we got home, my husband was on the mend as were the children. I, however, was nursing a broken wrist and the battle of oncoming cold!

I think I had a mini-breakdown when we got home. I was feeling like I had been royally ripped off from the holiday that I”d been looking forward to and planning for a year! I was so frustrated with only having one hand in action, not being able to wash my hair & style it the way ”I like” it to done…not being able to do up a button on my jeans!! (*insert disclaimer here that I know I”m very lucky. I know it’s temporary and I genuinely feel for those that lose the use of any part of their bodies).

I kind of hit rock bottom. It took me the whole week to get over it (and myself!!) I didn’t talk to my family or friends. Ignored their phone calls. I really didn’t want to play.

But…..what that time allowed me to do, was to do some soul searching about the path that I”m on and what I”m doing. Needless to say, this week I feel like I”ve come through the fog and I”m on the other side all guns blazing! It”s great!

I have been able to achieve some clarity around what I”m doing, the message that I want to share with you all and how to truly help empower women. Because, at the end of the day, that’s what it’s all about for me – helping others!

Have a great week!!!
