I’ve had a pretty darn close to perfect day today and I thought I’d let you know how it played out for me… and some things that I have realised, just today, on how I may be holding myself from being FULLY VISIBLE for you, for the people yet to connect with me and therefore for my future clients whom I KNOW I’m going to love the absolute shit out of working with….

This is a literal excerpt from my journalling in a cafe in Melbourne before walking in to film some face-to-camera segments for a well reknowned television show for business owners and in particular, start up business owners.

I trust that this helps you in whatever it is that you needed from it today.

I don’t ever second guess ‘the message’ these days. I just say okay! This is what came out, so this is what I need to share.

How often have you or do you, play down your achievements or the things that you’re proud of?

Today was the day that I was filmed for my first television segment. It’s a big deal! It was a big deal for me, anyway. Just me. Looking down the barrel of the camera, talking to you. Much like I’ve done with my blogs since 2011!!!!!

More interesting, is that the people around me in my inner circles have been encouraging and supportive (naturally) and that’s fricking brilliant.

What’s MORE interesting is that I haven’t really shared much about me doing this.

To be fair, the conversation only happened late Friday night, it was confirmed Monday and flew to Melbourne on Wednesday to GET.IT.DONE.

So it begged the question as I sat in a café before meeting the producer and the camera man, of Why have I downplayed it?

I talked into my diary, some crap like this: “Well, it almost doesn’t feel like a big deal, but it’s kind of a big deal!!! What mean, is it’s fricking channel 7 and ‘everyone’ knows this show, so it’s like…well…. Why haven’t I talked about it MORE?”

The ’little me’ says it’s just 4 x up to 2min segments. Me talking to camera. Like I do at home on my blogs. Not really much screen time and it’s inconsequential.

Okay….

The other part of me is like DUDE!!! Fucking stop it!! This is a big fucking deal!!! We’ve barely started the marketing for VISIBLE and BAM!!!! You’ve been asked to write articles already, you’ve been captured on film for a show that’s been running for 11 seasons and going into it’s 12^th. Most people know of the show.

It’s bloody awesome!!

Why are you being so humble and not talking about how cool this is?

I don’t know.

Yes, you do.

What will people think? Shallow? Inconsequential? Boring?

No! This is so aligned. It’s all about being VISIBLE, but by being yourself and leveraging what we have available to us ‘out there’. Not trying to be like everyone else.

OWN YOUR EXPERTISE, WOMAN!!

The next question was ‘how are you downplaying YOU or not claiming full fucking ownership of your knowledge, expertise, awesomeness, brilliance and fucking deservedness???

What other areas in your life are you doing this?

It’s a great question.

Because this is where the splinter lies….it’s within this doubt, fear, uncertainty and worry about whatever the heck it is, that is stopping us from really STEPPING IN.

I don’t know that it’s actually about STEPPING UP … it’s more about STEPPING IN.

Acknowledging that you’re actually doing your potential clients and your audience a real disservice by not STEPPING IN and OWNING all that you are.

If you’re really all about helping and empowering people, whether it be with their money, relationships, style, confidence, families, looks and whatever else it is that you do….

Then you’ve got to be prepared to step in and get crystal fucking clear on you OWNING WHO THE AF YOU ARE.

An expert?

A leader?

A coach?

A healer?

A lawyer?

A psychologist?

A graphic artist?

An ARTIST?

Who the heck are you AVOIDING by not STEPPING IN???

The answer is YOU.

You’re. Avoiding. You.

Because your light can shine so freaking bright that it can be scary, right/

That golden light where your potential sits is, almost, blinding…..

Well, blinding until your eyes adjust that is.

So…how about we let go of the fear of what people may or may not say?

I mean, what’s the worst thing that they could say?

You’re full of shit?

It’s all ego?

You don’t have enough experience to be an expert?

You’re not qualified enough yet?

You haven’t made enough money yet doing what you do?

You’re ugly?

The can’t understand you?

Seriously. Nothing could be said that is worse than what you are likely saying to yourself. Or the things that you worry about ‘them’ saying.

Truly.

You’ve. Got. To. Let. It. Go.

And instead, EXPECT that people will be inspired by you.

Motivated.

Lit up.

Encouraged.

See that you’re someone to aspire to, or get to know.

Let it go, Queen.

And STEP IN.

Your business will thank you for it.

Your money will thank you for it.

Your prospects will thank you for it.

Your clients will thank you for it.

Your mindset will thank you for it.

Your future will thank you for it

YOU will thank you for it.

Yes, we do the marketing bit and you’ll get an insight into the funnel stuff so you can put yourself out there and be VISIBLE… However, that will come after The Alignment.

The STEPPING IN and clearing out whatever we need to clear out.

We always, always, always align first before taking action and doing ‘the do’ or taking the steps.

Because that’s what I’ve seen works tie and time and time again since I started doing this.

The 1’s and 0’s lack soul and passion. Fire and alignment.

And quite frankly, it’s boring.

If you want 1’s and 0’s, go buy from Marie Forleo and do B School. There are a billion affiliates going around at the moment, but I’m not selling what she’s selling.

I’ve done it. Well, that’s not true. I bought it circa 12/13 but didn’t get past module 1. I bought it to see how she laid it out and delivered it. I’ve had clients go through it and come to ME trying to work out the missing piece as to why the 1’s and 0’s didn’t work.

Or didn’t feel right

Well, I’ll tell you…. (naturally!)

It’s because ‘the formula’ on it’s own doesn’t work because a formula doesn’t have heart…

Or personalisation…

Or help with how to apply this into real life.

It hasn’t any heart.

It’s just a money making machine and if money is the measure of success, she’s nailing it.

But if actual HEART is the measure and doing things from a place of alignment is the measure, then the money is the opposite of success to me.

You don’t need another hack.

Another formula.

Another paint by numbers, buy the clickfunnels and do the upsell videos for each one and continue the freaking ‘follow the bouncing ball’ bullshit or the digital marketer that.

First and foremost we need YOU to STEP IN.
