What To Do When You’re Stuck For Something To Say

Have you ever felt blocked? Like creatively blocked?

Sitting at the computer or on your mobile (let’s face it, that’s where a lot of content creation happens these days!!!), cursor flashing or empty screen taunting you and you KNOW that you need to put something out there…

But… crickets. Nothing. Nothing is coming.

Frozen.

This is when the self talk starts, right? Particularly if you’ve felt like this for a few days.

The thinking of “Well, maybe my best work is past me!” and “Everyone is hanging for me to say something but I’ve got nothing” and what about “I don’t want to put crap out there, but girl, you’ve got to do something! ANYthing” …

No. No you don’t

Y’all know I’m a HUGE fan of action and getting your content and your message out there regularly, but there’s also that thing around feeling like the right message is going out at the right time.

Here are three things you can do RIGHT NOW in order to get out of that pickle!

Number 1 Pickle Getter-Out-Erer

Find an old blog that you wrote or filmed and share that.

Number 2 Find a picture quote and share it

You have most likely got a library of previously created picture quotes in your computer hard drive. Go and dig one out and think of something to say along with it

Number 3 Ask your people

Ask your audience what their biggest problem is right now and solve it for them!

Take the pressure off yourself to be and feel like a creative genius every single freaking day and THAT is the exact that thing that actually allows that genius to visit you and give you what you need!

This is not a great long term strategy, in the sense that yes, these things an inspire and motivate people and it is adding value to them, however, it does create a stop gap for you to share something of value with ease.

And we’re all about the ease, baby!

Get out there. Go help some people.

Get VISIBLE.
