I was asking myself earlier today, what is that I feel like you need to hear?

 

What came up for me, was that I felt like you needed to hear that it’s ok for you to be feeling however it is that you’re feeling, but that you’re brave, resourceful and super resilient and you’ll get through this.

 

I know many of you don’t know where you’re going to be financially over the next few weeks.

 

I know many of you also aren’t worrying about that and you’re forward focussed.

 

Some of you are worried about your family members who just aren’t playing ball.

 

Some of you are worried that you’ve ‘knee jerked’ and made decisions too fast. Some of you feel like you’ve made them too slow.

 

The thing that none of us can refute is this: things are very different to the way that they were a few weeks ago.

 

The world has PUSHED you into being more online.

 

Your country has made it so the way that we all connect is online.

 

I’ve been doing this for years and I think I have to admit, that there have been moments where I’ve sat here and thought “I’ve been doing this for years, so I know you can too”, but that doesn’t make YOUR life any fucking easier.

 

I literally live in the middle of nowhere in country Australia, and I really had no choice but to be online if I wanted to stay connected to my friends who weren’t local. I had to make the choice 10 years ago to ‘go online’ with this business because I couldn’t afford the time away from my family, and admittedly, couldn’t afford the financial implications either of constant travel. I made the choice to live where I live and therefore I had to make other choices in order to make my business work.

 

You, unfortunately, have had the choice taken away.

 

It’s either you do it or you don’t have a business.

 

It’s either you adapt and pivot fast or the people you want to help don’t know that you exist.

 

So here’s what I want you to do.

 

I want you to take some time to eradicate the noise.

 

What you need is a plan.

 

What you need is some certainty.

 

What you need are frameworks that are going to support you from now until forever.

The things that I’ve been told over and over again, is people want some clear direction on what to do and how to cope.

 

They want to know exactly what steps to take rather than it being ambiguous.

 

They want certainty and clarity of direction.

 

 

You see the thing is this: When you have a plan, it gives you certainty. Even if you have to change your plan down the track because you have new circumstances or new information.  A plan gives you control.

 

And well desperately want some control

 

We all also want to feel like we’re doing the best we can for ourselves, our families and our audiences.

 

 

I encourage you to use this time wisely. You have a great opportunity amongst a cluster fuck of shitness, to really build and hone your message, your brand, your programs and ultimately, to lay the foundation for something that becomes UNSHAKEABLE.
