I remember in 2010 when I was imagining, dreaming and visualising what I wanted to create, I was so inspired. It’s what got me through the no money period, the endless days of working crazy hours… neglecting relationships, friends, health and everything else.

 

I was relentless in trying to find The Way.

 

What I didn’t realise back then is that I am the way!!!! That HAS to come first….

 

I wish I’d known back then that the way out is in. The way up is in first…..

 

 

Thank goodness after a lot of trial and error that I learned the lessons.

 

Which are:  

 

In first. Then out.

 

Second: dream and dream fucking big

 

Third: Take action only after step 1 and 2 have been done.

 

The thing that you most want, most of all, more than anything at all…. When was the last time that you admitted to yourself that this is what you wanted?

 

What do you dream about achieving if you get rid of ‘ego’ or ‘who do you think you are to want that’ and even ‘but there’s a lot of others already doing that’….?

 

What is the vehicle that YOU would CHOOSE to jump into in order to help the 100’s, 10’s of thousands, 100’s of thousands and MILLIONS of people that you want to help?

 

I used to think that it was ‘bad’ and ‘wrong’ to want to be on big stages. Stadiums. Because, well, I used to worry that ‘they’ were thinking who the fuck are you to be doing that. To want that. “You’re so full of yourself”.

 

That was the big one. You’re so full of yourself. I dreaded that people would say or think that about me. Too big for your boots. Too ambitious. Too loud. Too… well… whatever. Not a good enough singer, so you can’t be on stage doing that. Not good at learning lines, so you can’t do that. Can’t dance for shiz – and your butt is too big… so that’s out.

 

I could not see any way that I could possibly do what I wanted, like I dreamed of when I was a child.

 

I decided that it was a pipe dream. That I should settle and just conform to ‘normal’ life. That the dream of being up there, entertaining, making people laugh, performing… was just an exercise in being completely and ridiculously egotistical and I should let it go.

 

So, I did.

 

What’s curious, though, is that that dream keeps coming back to me. You know the ones. The dreams that haunt you, tantalise you and entice you….

 

Some dream of creating missions overseas.

 

Some dream of saving animals and doing documentaries to raise awareness.

 

Some want to create a legacy business.

Some want to provide for the next 5 generations of children and grandchildren and their children.

 

Some want to experience life and revel in the richness of travel, learning different cultures.

Others want to publish endless books to inspire and motivate others.

 

Some want to build a community that lives entirely off grid and is self-sufficient.

 

Whatever your dream is, you’re allowed to want that.

 

Now, I know that you know this logically, however, what have you done to action it?

 

The thing is this: We know that money is the tool that we can use to do more good in the world.

 

So, money as a goal is GREAT… but what are you actually going to do with it?

 

Without meaning it’s just a bits of plastic, paper and heavy metal rattling around not doing anything!

 

Money is the tool that you use to travel, to create impact.

 

So yes, your dream might be to be a multi-millionaire (you’re not alone in that!) even if it feels like you’re being a bit mercenary. It’s like the being on stage thing, though. If this is what you want, and it’s about doing YOUR MAGIC and helping people (be entertained, educated, inspired, motivated, et) then it’s your DUTY to do it.

 

Isn’t it time that you got out of your own way?

 

Isn’t it time to play a bigger game?

 

Isn’t it time to DO MORE?

 

To BE more?

 

To actually step into the footsteps that are just in front of you, the footprints of your dream… and do the thing that you’re here to do?

 

Don’t get me wrong. I get the fear. I get the self-doubt. I get the worry. I get the nerves. I get the jitters.

 

I totally understand the ‘but Nicola, I don’t know HOOOOOOWWWWW to do that’.

 

I get it.

 

You’re not alone.

 

I have ZERO idea on how to do many things that I have done.

 

But every single day, I realign to the thing that I want to achieve. My BIG FREAKING DREAM and I practice relentless faith that I will get there. Come hell or high water. I will get there.

 

Because every action that you take today (or don’t take) gets you one step closer to the future that you want. The dream achieved.

 

And contrary to what you might think I haven’t always felt like this. I haven’t always BELIEVED that things word necessarily work, but I have relentless faith that I will find a way.

I also always have believed that the Universe has my back. That God has my back. That source has my back. Whatever word you want to use…. In reiki they talk about us being like a hollow reed (like bamboo) that taps into source energy and works through us to help the person we’re helping. That’s what I believe to be true. I’m a vehicle or a conduit for what it is that I’m here to do.

 

So if you think about your big ass goals that you have, the dreams and the desires that you have, they are yours to pursue. I like to think of them like a gift for us to play with and step into.

 

Are you really going to ignore them? Are you really going to allow our humanness – that is doubt, worry and fear – to dictate what we actually achive in our lives?

 

Please, say no. Please.

 

Every day I work on the discipline of strengthening my faith. Of strengthening my resolve. Of finding a way, sometimes another way or a different way or trying something new and different or trying the same thing again but with a different spin on it….

 

I was asked the other day literally by a client how I got so certain.

 

I just practiced and practiced and practiced. Daily. There is no option but to have the highest level of faith that SOMEHOW I will get what I want. That somehow, I don’t need to know the ‘HOW’ in the somehow… but somehow, some way I will achieve the dreams that I have.

 

I will. It’s just done. There’s no negotiating on that!!!!

 

This fuels me daily to show up the way that I do for you. This fuels me on the days where being human strikes me. Yes. I still suffer doubt, fear, frustration, overwhelm and annoyance!!!! #humans.

 

But for me, the thought of not trying everything in my power to help you, to help more people achieve what they want in their lives, that’s like a death sentence to me.  And I am not okay with that.

 

And you know what? I am also open to this or something better. I can only dream about what I have reference points for … and who the heck knows what else this old life has in store for me. I’m pretty excited about it!!!!

 

Gosh I’m excited for you and all that you want to do.
