You see, for me, I lost sight 1) who I was and 2) where I wanted to go. I knew I was ‘destined for great things, for more’. I knew I was always going to live a life less ordinary…. But….
I was doing well, ridiculously well by the measure of most, but for me, well… the MONEY wasn’t enough for me to keep going, to keep pushing.
I was craving a reinvention. I first talked about it mid 2015.
I was craving passion. Excitement. I found some things that temporarily sparked it, and that was great…. But I wanted more…. But I didn’t know what that ‘more’ was.
I had the 7-year business itch royally kick in in 2017. For high achievers, successful women, we need a pull, a push, a goal, and a challenge…
Something to achieve and strive for….
Otherwise…
It all ends up feeling, well…
Ordinary.
Suburban.
Pedestrian…
And dare I say it…. Average. *gasp*
That is like kryptonite for creativity. It kills it dead in its tracks.
The kryptonite for our genius.
While we’re rendered a black and white running-out-of-toner-copy of ourselves…
It’s like a barely able to make it out shadow of who we really are.
This happens when we’re coasting.
When we’re goalless.
When we’re uninspired.
We get scared.
Lost.
We can feel somewhat alone…
And….
B O R E D.
This can trigger overwhelm, anxiety and apathy. This is worse than kryptonite. It’s like a death sentence for the soul.
The catch is this: in order to accelerate, grow and find ourselves again, we need to go through somewhat or a rebirth.
Like a snake shedding its skin, it’s important that we release who we are when we started this business – you’re no longer her.
The things that lit you up, challenged ad inspired you in the early days are probably different now.
The things you were willing to do when you started out would be different now.
It’s like being stuck in limbo or worse, purgatory.… you’ll (I did, anyway) often felt like you don’t quite belong, well, anywhere anymore.
You see, you’re no longer a ‘start up’ – you’ve been in the game for too long. But you’re also not successful (by YOUR OWN definition. From the outside, you’re a wild success). And therefore, that feeling of misalignment and not belonging in either camp, leads you to feel, that well…. WHO AM I and why can’t I belong? Why can’t I make it work? And maybe…. Just maybe…. This is as good as it gets.
Vomit.
Here’s the deal. You need to let go in order to bring in the new…
Because something needs to happen. Something is going to come along (or just has) that will remind us and share a GLIMPSE into our future and our potential.
It’s going to light that spark again.
Get you excited.
Fan the flames from our base through to your heart, through to your crown.
And we REMEMBER.
Exactly WHO WE ARE.
We start to remember who are ARE at our core.
A badass. Seriously. Who else has the resilience, the persistence, the courage to keep going the way you have? As I said. You’re a badass.
A Rockstar.
An entertainer. .
A leader.
A teacher.
A motivator.
An inspirer.
A creator.
A shining light.
A beacon.
Someone who has so much heart to give and in return, your heart gets filled. Your future starts to become clear.
And you remember a bit more.
When this happens (or is in the process of happening) IT’S TIME.
Time to double down.
Eradicate the fear.
Acknowledge that all that you’ve done, the money you’ve invested, the energy you’ve poured in, the tears you’ve cried, the blood you’ve spilt, the bruises you’ve salved, the injuries you’ve iced….
All of that has prepared you, built you, for this next stage.
Which is, of course, WORLD DOMINATION (uh duh).
The world knowing your name.
Your name up there in lights in the Hall of Fame.
Best-selling author.
The expert in the media.
Your face going through 10’s of 1000’s of newsfeeds around the globe.
Clients who are high value and you love.
Money – more than you could ever ‘need’ so you become the person who is able to give generously without fear, lack or scarcity.
And all of this means you’re ICONIC and INFLUENTIAL.
Literally changing the world, as you help heal, motivate, inspire, educate your community, tribe, followers, and the like.
You’ve got IT.
