F&ck Up Friday and Banana Marketing

Oh no.

I am ‘that’ mother. (Again, my children reminded me).

I’ve had a bit of a morning… the kids were due back to school today. I have 2 kids still at school – 2 different schools. We’ve had an amazing holiday period with being away combined with being at home. It has felt, however, for them as well as me, like the L O N G E S T school break that we have all ever had.

I love having them home, though, and being 11 and 13, they pretty much take care of themselves, while I work and do my thing from home.

HOWEVER, I have been SUPER organised for return to school shenanigans, unlike most other years.

I’ve had new drink bottles purchased, new lunch boxes purchased (so we didn’t have the MORNING of school scramble that goes something like “Mum! My lunchbox is gross, can I get a new one).

I did the online grocery shopping thing earlier in the week, so the pantry is overflowing with snacks and lunch options and everything.

SO… you’d be right to assume that everything went off this morning without a hitch.. and it did…

UNTIL I dropped my son of at school … and realised as I drove off, that there were no other kids visible for his school…..

So I pulled over, checked the app for the end of year newsletter from last year, to learn that in fact, I was so freaking organised that I had delivered him to school THREE DAYS EARLY!!!!

That was F-Up Friday #1.

Additioinally, on The Coffee Run this morning, I laid out some hard (not really) hard truths about BANANA MARKETING.

And how you shouldn’t be trying to throw bananas at people who aren’t even freaking hungry or perhaps don’t even like bananas!!!!

Here’s to no more f-ups today!!!! (There’s always tomorrow for more, right!!?!?!?)
