FUNNELS WILL SET YOU FREE
Funnels will set you free is a big sweeping statement, isn’t it? Particularly if you don’t even know what a funnel is.
Funnels will set you free is a big call to make, I know. Not only that, but they will also save you time and money if you invest in getting it set up efficiently and effectively.
A marketing funnel or a sales funnel is first and foremost about capturing the attention of your audience and helping them to make a commitment to learn more about you – usually in the form of them giving you their name and email address in exchange for a piece of valuable information that will help them achieve a goal or solve a problem.
This is super important, because according to Marekto “Approximately 96% of visitors that come to your website are not ready to buy — but they may be willing to provide contact information in exchange for valuable content. That said, you have no more than eight seconds to persuade your website visitors to stick around.”
That is an extraordinary statistic. Of those 95% of people who come to your website or landing page, 30% of them are usually willing to provide their contact details for that piece of content or information that will help them in some way.
Embracing this way of marketing can be the easy part of the equation, getting it all implemented and learning how to drive it all can prove to be both easy and challenging for some.
It’s a little bit like people who have purchased a Thermomix for their kitchen. They’re complex machines at first. You need to follow the instructions – and provided you do, you’ll get something fabulous at the end of it. Hopefully!
There can be some frustrating moments but we learn to love it.
Funnels are the same. You’ve just got to
- work out how to build it
- work out how to work it and
- make sure you use it so it doesn’t sit on the bench gathering dust
The most important aspect of building your funnel is that we view it as a relationship building tool.
That doesn’t mean we can just set and forget it.
It means that we have to work it.
The good news is, that once it’s built, you can have it running as close to autopilot as it can be, through the functionality that comes along with building one: Emailing in bulk yet still adding value and fostering the relationships, having multiple funnels running at the one time (think: different free things being given away at different times or in different places).
This saves you time. It saves you money. It saves your sanity once you have it all rolling.
I am a huge advocate for funnels but I leave you with a word of warning:
Don’t rely on the funnel to do the heavy lifting for you. The essence of YOU that you put into the funnel is what is going to build the relationship with the person who has entered it. You can’t automate you. Well, not yet anyway!
Imagine how much time it would take to add each person to your database that wanted some information from you.
And then how much time it would take to copy, paste and edit the name of that person to the next person you want to email.
And how hard it would be track each of these individuals from when they first requested information from you to when they bought and then what they then did following that.
Funnels will save you time, money and energy so you can do more of what you REALLY want to be doing – which is working with your clients and customers.
We do go into this in a lot more detail at Spy School if you haven’t registered quite yet to come along.
And of course, if you feel like you’d like to have a chat about if this is something that could work for you in your business, then please feel free to EMAIL ME and we’ll organize a time to chat.
