- Something that has really worked for me, to keep me focussed, is my vision board. I’ve had quite a few people ask me what I’m up to and how I am staying focussed.
One of the things that I do, is goal setting (I posted about this earlier). The other thing that I do, is have my vision board close! I have put things on there for what I want to achieve this year.
The way I did this was to have one as my desktop picture and I also printed another one off, and I have it on my fridge!! 🙂
Here are the 7 Easy Steps to Creating Your own Vision Board:
- Open up Powerpoint in your computer
- find pictures that you like, that represent your goals for this year (eg. one of my pictures is a girl snowboarding, another is a picture of someone meditating)
- In your powerpoint presentation, arrange the pictures in a collage fashion like you did when you were in Primary School
- Save your presentation as a powerpoint file so you can update it when you need, but….
- also save it as a PDF. This way, you can email it to yourself if you need to.
- I run a Mac, so in my mac I have a progam called Preview. I use the ”grab” tool to select the pictures in the Vision Board that I have in powerpoint and I save the selection as a jpeg file
- Then, I save it as my desktop and print a copy off, in colour if you like, to have somewhere easily visible
Easy, huh!?! Here’s an example of a couple of vision boards to get you started:
Most of all, though, have FUN!! Be creative and just get it out there!! What have you got to lose?!?!?
