I get that it can seem a little outlandish when you may not have a big database yet… however, you CAN grow it every single day when you have the right things in place…
I remember what it was like not that many years ago when I heard the numbers I needed for me to be able to make what I wanted to make. I remember being shocked. In awe that it could actually be done…amazed at those who had already done it and scared about how long it would all take to happen!
When I first started out putting marketing out there and looking for people to help the thought of having 100 people on my emailing list made me nervously giggle! I used to wonder who on earth would actually WANT to listen to what it was that I had to say – let alone 100 of them!
I have continued year after year, month after month to put content-rich FREE ‘STUFF out there constantly. Things that are designed to help people like you, feel motivated, inspired and encouraged to get out there and DO YOUR THING!
There are some key points to this though. It’s no good just putting out a bunch of stuff hoping that people might see it and might want to download it or have it. You’ve got to do it strategically, you see.
Some things you MUST know are things like:
1) WHO is the person that you want to work with
2) What do they LIKE
3) What do they HATE
4) Where do they live and why
5) What’s the family status
Then.. you need to know what their BIGGEST BURNING problems are and what their DEEPEST desires are.
Once you have that nailed, you can then get something out there that fixes and solves those problems for them and start building the relationship with them.
The way you do THAT is by getting their email address and sending them something for FREE that’s highly valuable and actionable. Something that they can use and learn from. Something that’s going to improve their lives and solve that big ass problem that they have.
In order to get their email address, you’ve got to FIND THEM!!!! (This is where those points up above are CRITICAL). You can then go and find them on Social Media (Facebook is AWESOME for this!). You can put out advertising to them and start building your database (list) of people that you can help.

If you know that you need to start putting MORE STUFF out there that’s going to help people, so that you can INCREASE and GROW your database sooner rather than later, then start doing this!
Put out valuable, content rich pieces of information out into the world and start building your profile. Start getting yourself out there more.
Start building the REPUTATION for yourself that has people instantly thinking of you when it comes to what it is that you do.
Think about marketing (which is what this is, right?) as the building of a relationship. Of creating something highly valuable so that people SEE you and want to learn more about what it is that you do.
When you’re out there helping people get what it is that they want, you’re seen as incredibly generous (because you are!), honest (because you’re sharing stuff that works), you’re helping them get Results In Advance which has them see you as being an Expert with what you do.
For all of this to work, you’ve got to have a way of capturing the people’s information as well so that you can house all of their details in a central place and continue to email them each week (at least).
