It’s the school holiday MADNESS cycle! That business of juggling kids, tantrums, constant snacks, stuff EVERYWHERE, travelling, camping (NOT glamping) and carving stuff out for you… BWAHAHAHA!! YEP. Cray Cray.
So, today I decided to take IMPERFECT action. I decided to do something that was going to help you guys get out of your own way!
ON IMPERFECT ACTION & JUMPING.
You know when you hear something and you’re like “oh wow! That’s a GREAT idea”… and then you slip into “Oh. I don’t know how to do that” or “What if… ”
Yep. I hear you.
INSERT BACK-STORY THEME SONG HERE:
Once upon a time there was a girl called Nicola. She ran this business where she talks about learning something and implementing it straight away.
This afternoon, there was a thought that scittered across her brain and she was like OH MY! I need to create a video and upload it to FB!”
The VERY NEXT thought that followed that one was “Oh, but I’m not ‘video read’. I don’t have make up on. I’ve got nothing prepared”… which is a REALLY GOOD THING that the ‘fear’ was saying to her to keep her from putting herself out there.
And so, she said “Screw you, fear. I’m going to do it anyway”.. and so she did.
You see, Nicola is a BIG, vocal supporter of taking MASSIVE, imperfect action. And she laughs in the face of fear, normally.
So, how could she be asking her followers, her people, her community, her clients to take imperfect action if she wasn’t going to do it, too?
She created a video and it was posted below.
Her children kept playing with the golf sticks out the back. The sun kept shining. Her oldest daughter kept playing on her iPhone.
The imperfect action she took didn’t make the world end. She didn’t burn up into a pile of flames. She didn’t melt away.
She just kept putting herself out there to inspire others to do the same.
