What does this mean for you? Well, if you’re a lady then it could mean a lot!
For a start, anything that celebrates women being women on an international basis has got to be pretty inspiring, right?
I believe, though, that it’s not just for women who are on the World Stage or who have been recognised even on a National or local level. I believe that there should be recognition for any woman who has inspired someone else! Of course, the first woman that comes to my mind is my mother. An amazingly strong yet soft lady who is incredibly resiliant. She is caring and nuturing but will also pull my brother and I into line if we need it! She is an inspiration. She is there for her family no matter what and I truly believe would do anything to support and protect us.
Then there are my girlfriends! These are also amazing women who seem to have very similar qualities to my Mum…they are motivated, strong, genuine and caring. They are mothers who believe that they need to raise their children with the same values of respect, integrity and honesty that we were raised with.
And for the men….I would recommend celebrating the women in your lives, too! Take a look at your Mum, Wife or Partner, Sister, Auntie, Grandmother…and of those gorgeous women who had an impact on your life and made you become the man you are today!
We shouldn’t need a special day to say ”thank you” or ”I love you”… but why not just make the most of it while it”s here?
