Is it all really worth it?

We are now fully into the New Year with the News Years’ hangover (not necessarily induced by alcohol) and people seem to be in a bit of a more stable state of mind this week following on from the bushfire peak last week.

I think I can speak for most of us when I say that I have been able to breathe a sigh of relief at the rain that has come down over the last 48 hours, along with some cool blessed relief for our firefighters.

If you have been impacted by them, in any way, my love, thoughts and prayers are coming through directly xxx

In other news it was our Wedding Anniversary yesterday…. 14 years married! It got me thinking. Being together for so long you can expect that there have been ups and downs. Some amazing ups and some devastating lows – to the point where we came as close to you can to a divorce – a few years ago.

I was thinking about what makes a partnership (married or not) last. It made me think about how this is also apparent for business…

In business, most people don’t last more than 2 years. Half of those who make it beyond 2 years don’t see it through 5 years……

Which begs the question : “Do the good times outweigh the bad” and when do you know it’s time to pull the pin if the balance is out?

I talked about my thoughts on this on The Coffee Run this morning – you can check out the replay here.
