“You have to be odd to be number one” ~ Dr Suess
It’s true, don’t you think? You can’t expect to stand out and fit in at the same time.
Unfortunately around the world, we also battle with Tall Poppy Syndrome, which is where the very second (seemingly) you do something different, there are some who will cheer you on, yet, don’t get too big for your boots! Don’t stand out too much… don’t do too much different… because we tend to cop flack. It’s not cool.
Yet, if you err on the side of caution, unfortunately, you tend to blend in.
It’s quite the conundrum!
It’s takes guts to put yourself out there.
It takes courage.
In this video I talk about the fears we have and how to overcome them, so that you can put yourself out there and help the volumes of people you really want to help and work with.
I think about Freddy Mercury when I think about standing out from the crowd. I think about how brave it was ‘back then’ to really be seen in the way that he was. To get out there and own it.
Trust me, you’re not going to die because you put yourself out there. You’re not going to get eaten by a bear!
I’ve got your back no matter what.
