You know how passionate I am about style and playing with your personal brand….THIS, I know you know!
What you may not know is this:
I have 3 children and live in Mildura, Regional Victoria. It’s kind of like Vegas in the states (ie. middle of nowhere, in the middle of a desert!!!) except, without the added benefit of casino’s and theme parks, giant lions in the middle of the ‘strip’ and hookers on every corner!!
My husband works for his family’s business and gets to play with grapes for 6 months of the year and the other six months gets to play with citrus – oranges, mandarins, etc.
I grew up in Adelaide and get to come back to visit my parents every couple of months – which is where I’m writing this post from!
What does this have to do with anything? Well…..it’s funny, you know? Living in a very tight-knit community can have it’s advantages of course and it’s down sides. I love living where I live. I do love going to other places though, where I’m a ‘little’ more anonymous!!!! That doesn’t mean that I let the side down, however.
I literally dropped my car in to be cleaned, the lady who was taking the bookings and the keys asked me what it is that I do! The end result was that I handed over my business card…she knows my sister-in-law and she’s booked in to be a client!! Amazing, huh?
THIS IS THE POWER OF LIVING AND BREATHING YOUR PERSONAL BRAND.
You attract people to you when you are BEING who it is that you need to be. Embrace it. Play with it!
It’s time to draw the line in the sand. It’s time to step up! No matter where you are and what you’re doing, THIS IS NOT A DRESS REHEARSAL. This is the real thing.
Take the stage. Make every moment count. Remember to breathe….YOU’RE ON!!
