Birthday eve! Woohoo!

 

Today I was journaling about the next level that I’m aligning to in terms of what I want to bring into my life and business. I think it’s important that we spend some time doing this on a reasonably regular basis so that you can really step into the energy of what you want to receive.

 

It’s easy to get caught up in the day to do semantics and the details. To get swallowed up in the should. The obligations. The Things One Must Do To Be Successful.

 

And yes. We are living in a 3D world, so there are things to be done, but before action must come inspiration. Alignment. Intention. Purpose.

 

Action without this first tends to be a bit more forced. Rote. It’s like reverting to The Way versus allowing what needs to come through you, through you.

 

I became a level 2 Reiki practitioner a few years ago and I remember one of things shared, that made sense to me, that was profound and made logical sense to me was the concept of being a  hollow reed or conduit for wat needs to happen.

 

Meaning, that when we’re setting ourselves up to help ourselves or others, first we must prepare, which of course, is perfect and right and makes sense. You have to be ready. You have to be grounded. You have to be connected. That was, the energy can flow through you and do the work that it needs to do.

 

Elizabeth Gilbert, in her TED Talk about “Your Elusive Creative Genius” talked about how we can get caught up in the fear of not having another good idea – like ever…and how this is such a common worry / fear / stressor for many people – authors, creatives and people who rely on their imagination and ideas to do what they do!!!

 

She talks about The Genius who lives in the wall that comes along with the ideas. And how a poet would feel a poem coming and moving through her rather than coming to her while she was sitting at a desk almost demanding that it arrives. Instead, she hears it and felt it coming through her while she was out in the field. I imagined that it was like cosmic smoke seeping through her and then moving on from her. She had to run to the farmhouse to try and capture the poem before it wafted off to someone else.

 

You are a ‘creative’, by the way. Even if you may not identify with the traditional way of thinking about who a creative is. If you’re building a business, you have to be creative! With your thinking. With your innovating. With your message. With your delivery. With all of it.

 

You may not paint or draw… but you’re creative! Aiight!!! Haaha!

 

What I love about the interpretation of these ways of explaining hgs, is that it highlights that there is something bigger than us at play beyond our physicality that helps us bring in the ideas. That we, when tapped in, can find the things within us – the genius – that we can then capture and share. That we can then be the conduit for..so that we can then help someone else.

 

Something that I think we – most of us anyway – need to get better at is trusting that the ‘thing’ will come through the reed, through the conduit. That the message WILL come through and that we have to trust that which comes out.

Something that I think is super important, is creating a way that you can rely on to do this.

 

For me, certainty is important. Structure is important.

 

To me, I love to have a system, a way, a discipline for getting this out.

 

One of the things I make sure that I have, is a daily discipline that includes journaling.

 

I also plan. I like to plan, because it gives me the thing that I need to pivot off so that the intuition and the ideas can come through.

 

I know that for many of my audience, my people, my lovely people – YOU – is that you all love a good plan.

 

You love that it gives you a sense of certainty and structure. It gives you something to pivot from. It gives you a foundation to build up from.

 

Which then creates space for the magic to flow.
