Sometimes it just seems hard for a bit… and then you land square in the slip stream and everything’s okay again! It’s annoyingly predictable the ebbs and the flows. Of energy. Of cashflow. Of life… Hahaha!

 

The thing that everyone (including me) needs to be reminded of from time this:

 

Your business is a reflection of you and what’s going on in your head. Most of the time, if you’re feeling frustrated, you’ll find that creating is frustrating. If you’re feeling ‘in flow’ before you even start, you’ll find that it flows easily.

 

And when you sink into THAT, it makes everything easier.

 

You are business.

Your business is you.

 

The very essence of who you are is filtered through all that you do.

 

Isn’t that exciting?

 

The people I work with know that their business is an extension of themselves.

 

Their personality.

 

Their wit.

 

Their love of numbers and systems and structure. Or flow and artistry and feeling divinely free.

 

The people I work with see this in their people (like I see in you)

Your light.

Your magic.

Your brilliance.

Your awesomeness.

Your glow.

Your potential.

Your light. I know I said it but I had to say it again.

 

The people I work with are not the type to let fear get in their way.. but sometimes they still get overwhelmed. Yep. Humans being humans.

They’re not the type to procrastinate but they can get side tracked. And sometime they do procrastinate. Like all of us.

They are sure as heck not faint of heart.

 

They see their people. Like, really see them.

 

The thing that all of my clients have in common and that YOU have in common with them, is this:

 

• They want to change the world… client by client. Idea by idea. .

 

One. Person. At. A. Time. If. Need. Be.

 

But sometimes things get in the way: starting one thing and then another but not finishing the first thing!

 

Getting a great idea, but not seeing it through to the end.

 

Notebooks and notebooks ending up filled with ideas but not actioned

 

Frustrated that they’re not where they want to be yet. That they’re not having the impact they want to have.

 

They’re impatient driven.

 

They have big dreams. Big goals. Big ideas.

 

And now… they’re getting themselves sou there more and more.

 

Growing their visibility daily

Growing more condiment in their messaging daily.

Gaining more and more clarity daily

And Perhaps their sass is growing daily as well, actually!!!

 

The biggest thing that helps them with all of this, is them remembering that THEY write the rules to their own lives.

 

That they hold the power and the key to their business. Their happiness.

 

Their results.

 

Far too often people get caught out because of blind spots. Because they can’t see the forest for the trees…

 

And they get stuck because they are far too close to see what they can’t see! Forest for the trees and all that jazz.

 

Here’s the thing that I know for SURE..

 

After a decade of being in the client seat and the mentor seat, there’s something for certain that I know.

 

I can never not have a mentor.

 

I can’t do this without having someone to bounce my ideas off.

 

I need someone talking me off the ledge every now and then.

 

I need someone guiding me.

 

I need someone helping me.

 

Someone who has my success at front and centre of their minds.

 

Not to say that my friends don’t. Or that I don’t.

 

And yes, I know I know. I’m paying them.. I am PAYING them to have MY success at the front and centre of their minds.

 

Because I know when I DON’T have someone in my corner to push me, guide me, push me (again! I know!) and kick my ass… as well as help me when I need it, I am lonely. I’ll often feel like nobody gets it. That I’m out there, in the middle of the ocean bobbing around like nobody’s business just kind of weird and out there and lost and odd.

 

I tend to start and not finish things when I’m ‘on my own’.

 

I tend to get side tracked.

I tend to procrastinate.

 

I tend to find it harder to self-motivate.

 

I find it harder to clear things out..

 

And you know what? It’s not because I don’t know HOW to do what I do… It’s so freaking important to have someone who has your back on your team.

 

Friends have their own agendas.

 

Friends have their own lives.

 

Free groups have their own agendas.

Free groups have their own lives.

 

Free masterminds have their own agendas.

 

Free mastermind groups have their own lives.

 

The reason that I pay someone to be my mentor, is so that I am their priority.

 

So that when I need to talk, they are there.

So that when I need some encouragement because perhaps I’m feeling a little ‘less than’, they are there.

So that when I need to be pushed, prodded, cajoled and celebrated, they are there!
