Craving what you want isn’t enough.

 

Knowing you were born for this isn’t enough.

 

Wishing that you were going to be discovered and waiting for your big break (in the safety and security of your own home office) isn’t going to get you to where you need to be nor in front of the people who need to hear from you, learn from you and then buy from you.

 

Even being the BEST at what you do isn’t enough.

 

I know it sounds really obvious.. but you guys: you cannot sell a secret.

 

I remember my Dad very famously saying this at an event that I was running and the whole room went ‘ooooooohhhhhhh’. It’s true. You can’t sell a secret – especially when the secret is YO.

 

Imagine for a moment that you have the singing voice of an angel…

Or ..

You own THE BEST OUTFIT known to humanity. It’s amazing…

 

But neither of these things see the light of day nor get to hit the airwaves of those who would love to hear it.

 

If nobody knows that you’re good, if nobody knows WHO YOU ARE.. then how on earth are you going to be able to help them? How are you going to be able to serve them?

 

How are you going to make money.

 

Yes.

 

I said money.

 

If you’re in business, you need to make money. It’s not an option. You’re not running a charity (and even if you ARE, that shizzle needs to make money in order to run!!).

 

A business needs to have money coming in. It needs to have money to pay you. It needs to have money left over to then pay the bills.

 

YOU NEED TO MAKE MONEY AND YOU CAN’T DO THIS IF YOU’RE A SECRET.

 

The biggest thing with this, is that you’ve got to get out there.

 

You’ve got to shake things up.

 

You’ve got to be willing to get on out there and share your genius with the world.

 

So I’m wondering..

 

Where is the resistence? Are you trying to prove yourself RIGHT? As in you’re trying to prove that this wouldn’t work anyway?

 

Are you being resistant to asking for money?

 

Are you resistant to putting yourself out there?

 

Are you worried about what others think?

 

Are you concerned that it’s not going to work, so you just don’t do it anyway?

 

And if any of these are true, how are these acutally serving you?

 

Now for some of you, I know you’re getting ‘out tehre’ but you’re also hiding at the same time.

 

I know that each and EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU has a bigger dream, a bigger goal, a bigger ‘thing’ that you want to achieve and do…

 

So WHY aren’t you doing THAT?

 

For most us, it’s because we’re afraid.

 

Regardless if you want to put on a big conference like the one I was just at…

 

Or if you want to put on a small event..

 

Of if you want to launch an online program, speak internationally, climb to the TOP of the corporate ladder or anything and everything in between…

 

You know that it’s POSSIBLE, you know it CAN be done, because you’ve seen other people do it!!!

 

So what’s stopping you?

 

Let me tell you:

 

The fear of failure.

 

The fear of not being good enough.

 

The fear of being judged.

 

These things need to be GONE.

 

But, like all humans, we can decide TODAY that they’re gone and we can get some shit done, but then tomorrow, some of these doubts and thoughts come creeping back in like mint. You know, the herb? It doesn’t matter how you try to kill that thing, it just keeps coming back!!!!

 

So what’s the answer?

 

Well, the fear is GONE when we start to see the evidence of progress.

 

So with each step of you getting ou there, with each post, with each LIVESTREAM, with each test, with each thing that you do, things get easier.

 

And you keep doing it. You keep taking steps.

 

And then WOW! Like ‘overnight’ you’re visible, people know who you are and things are freaking working.

 

It takes momentum. And the only way that momentum starts to grow is if you there is a significant ENERGETIC INPUT at the start, to get moving.

 

A secret will not sell itself.

 

Your programs will not sell themselves.

 

Your offers will not sell themselves.

 

Your practice will not fill itself.

 

As always, you have to FIRST come back to who you are, what makes you different and use your experience, experiences, personality and knowledge to grow your confidence and certainty within yourself.

 

Then, you can start working on the audience. Hint: They have the same fears that you do but applied into the service that you offer!! #MindBlown

 

Then you can start on the marketing and positioning and getting yourself out there on social media.

 

So there you go. You can’t sell a secret so stop freaking acting like one.
